Nigerian Actor Nosa Rex laments about his experience in Lagos

Nigerian Actor and comedian Nosa Rex aka baba rex has just lamented about his present experience in Lagos. He made the complaint in a video he shared on his instagram handle few minutes ago. The Entrepreneur poured out his frustration on the terrible traffic in Lagos State. He stated that he has been on the road right from the time he took his kids to school till the time they (his kids) closed from school. He wrote thus 'Lagos wetin dey occur, I drop children for school. Now children wan close from school, I still dey traffic. 5 hours plus ajah to chevron'. Check out his tweet in the image below

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on Thursday sentenced a Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, aka Baba Ijesha, to 16 years imprisonment. Baba Ijesha is facing six counts of child defilement that include indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration. The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions, which proffered the charges against the actor, argued that the offences contravene Section 135, 137, 261, 202, 262 and 263 of the Lagos State Criminal Law 2015, which stipulates life imprisonment for offenders. Baba Ijesha pleaded not guilty to all the counts. However, a Closed-Circuit Television video recording detailing his relationship with the victim said to be a minor was played in court. Delivering the judgement, Justice Taiwo said that the prosecution failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty of all the charges against him. H

ECOWAS Court declares Twitter ban unlawful

Economic Community of West African States’ Court has declared “unlawful” the suspension of Twitter by the Federal Government. The court also ordered the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), “never to repeat it again”. This followed a suit by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project and 176 concerned Nigerians, according to SERAP’s Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, announced the suspension of Twitter in Nigeria following the deletion of Buhari’s tweet. Then the FG also threatened to arrest and prosecute anyone using Twitter in the country, while the National Broadcasting Commission asked all broadcast stations to suspend the patronage of Twitter. But in the judgment delivered on Thursday, the ECOWAS court declared that it has the jurisdiction to hear the case, and that the case was therefore admissible. The Court also held that the act of suspending the operation of Twitter is unlawful
